This one always reminds me of Scarlett O’Hara (my other favorite heroine) when she says “Tomorrow is another day!” When things are rough, this always gets me through.

I must confess that the reason I struggle with keeping this blog updated is that its not connected to my main blog. For some reason, I couldn’t figure out how to manage two blogs connected to the same account and I got so frustrated, I just made a new account for this blog. But alas, I have figured it out now, though there is no way for me to connect this blog to my main one. So I hope to keep this one, although I am seriously contemplating deleting this blog, and then restarting it as connected to my main.

I know they’re not together in this scene, but I find it adorable when Matthew is trying to buy the dressed with puffed sleeves, and ended up buying 20 pounds of brown sugar. The fact that he would go through all of that, despite his shyness, is amazing.

Day 3: Favorite Anne/Gil moment

In the book, my favorite moment is when he proposes for the first time while Anne is home alone reading. The whole chapter broke my heart but I kept reading it over and over again because it was so beautiful.

In the movie, I love the end of the first movie, when Gil gives Anne the school, touches her face and walks her home. Wayy too cute.

Day 2: Least Favorite Book

Hands down, probably Windy Poplars. I was super jonesing for some Anne/Gilbert action and this book totally got in the way for me. The whole Pringle family was so irritating and I wanted to punch them all at least once. I did like the story line with Elizabeth though. This was a good book, but it kind of took the plot in a different direction than what I wanted.

Whoops. I’m sorry that I haven’t updated in such a long time. I’ve been super busy...

Day 1: Favorite Book

I think my favorite book is a tie between Anne of Green Gables and Anne of the Island. I love Green Gables because all of Anne’s mishaps are just too funny, and of course you are introduced to so many wonderful characters. I love love LOVE Island because of Anne’s ridiculous marriage proposals. I’m always a bit bummed they didn’t include more of those in the movies.

I know a lot of people don’t really read this one, but I also like Rilla of Ingleside. It’s such a sad book and shows the transition from the tranquil and peaceful times into the more modern era.
